Welcome to ASIN Crawler (“the Extension”). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how ASIN Crawler collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Chrome extension.
2. Prominent Disclosure
- Using ASIN Crawler without an account collects no personal data.
- When you create an account (free, to connect the extension and use the 500 free PRO ASINs, or PRO), we collect your email address and the details listed in section 3.4. For PRO users, we also keep subscription status and order history; payment details are handled by Stripe.
- All ASIN data is stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to external servers.
- We do not sell, share, or misuse any collected data.
- By using this extension, you consent to this data collection as outlined in this Privacy Policy.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Free Plan Users
- Without an account, no personal information is collected. If you create a free account to connect the extension, see section 3.4.
- Only ASIN data that you explicitly request to extract is stored locally in your browser.
- Basic extension functionality data may be collected, including:
- Browser type and version.
- Installation status.
- Selected Amazon marketplace domains.
- Local user preferences and settings.
3.2 PRO Plan Users
We collect the following information for PRO users to manage subscriptions and provide services:
Account Information:
- Email address for account management.
- Payment information (processed securely via a third-party payment provider).
- Subscription status and plan type.
Extension Data:
- Amazon Standard Identification Numbers (ASINs) from pages you choose to scan.
- Selected Amazon marketplace domains.
- User preferences and settings within the extension.
- Basic usage statistics.
Payment Information:
- Payments are securely processed via Stripe, and ASIN Crawler does not store payment details.
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI DSS-compliant payment provider. ASIN Crawler does not store or process payment details directly. For details on how Stripe handles your payment information, please refer to Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
3.3 Automatically Collected Information (For All Users)
- Browser type and version.
- Chrome extension installation status.
- Basic extension functionality data.
- To protect accounts against abuse, our website uses your IP address to limit repeated sign-in and connection attempts. The address is converted into a one-way keyed hash and kept only with a request counter for up to 10 minutes; we do not store the IP address itself.
- Stripe may collect additional payment-related information in compliance with PCI DSS standards.
3.4 Signing In and Your Account
Accounts do not use passwords. You sign in in one of two ways:
- Email sign-in link: we email you a one-time link that expires after 15 minutes. We store your email address and a one-way hash of the link (never the link itself), and the link stops working once it has been used.
- Continue with Google: Google shares your name, email address and Google account ID with us so we can recognise your account. We never receive your Google password. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
For each account we also keep:
- The dates you created the account and last signed in.
- Whether the extension is connected to your account (stored as one-way hashes of the connection tokens).
- How many of your 500 free PRO ASINs you have used.
- How many ASINs you have collected with the extension in total (extension version 1.6 and later, on every plan). Only the number is sent, with the extension’s regular plan check; never the ASINs themselves, the Amazon pages you visit, or your search terms. You see this number on your account page.
- For purchases: order history (date, plan, amount, tax, status) and the billing details entered at checkout, kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
4. How We Use Your Information
4.1 Free Plan Users
We use collected information to:
- Provide essential extension functionality.
- Maintain ASIN extraction capabilities.
- Ensure compatibility with your browser.
4.2 PRO Plan Users
We use collected information to:
- Manage your subscription and account.
- Provide and maintain advanced features.
- Process payments and send transaction notifications.
- Improve and optimize extension performance.
- Respond to user requests and support needs.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- PRO users are not eligible for refunds after purchase. However, refunds may be issued in cases of duplicate charges, failed service activation, or technical issues preventing the extension from functioning properly. For detailed refund conditions, please see our Refund Policy.
User Consent:
- PRO users must actively opt-in before providing their email and payment details for subscriptions.
- This data is used only for authentication, billing, and feature access.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All ASIN data remains locally stored in your browser.
- ASIN data is never sent to our servers or anyone else.
- Account data (section 3.4) is stored on our servers with our hosting provider and is only used to run your account.
- Subscription and payment information is securely handled via a third-party payment provider.
- We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information.
- Collected ASINs are stored locally and are never transmitted externally. Users can delete their ASINs at any time by clicking the ‘Clear ASINs‘ button in the extension.
- IP addresses are only used as described in section 3.3: converted into a one-way keyed hash and discarded within 10 minutes.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
- We use a session cookie to keep you signed in on our website, and local storage to maintain user preferences and connect the extension to your account. Our website also uses Google Analytics cookies to measure how the site is used and which of our ads bring visitors. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland they are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner; elsewhere they are on unless you decline them there, and declining switches them off straight away. We do not use them for ad personalization or remarketing.
- Store user preferences and settings.
- Authenticate users and manage sessions.
- Track anonymous usage data for analytics and performance optimization.
- Improve security and prevent fraud.
Cookie Management:
- These cookies are necessary for the proper functionality of the Extension and cannot be disabled by the user.
- If you do not agree with the use of cookies, you may uninstall the Extension and request data deletion at any time.

- We do not sell, trade, or transfer your information to third parties.
- We share only what each service needs to work for us: Stripe (payments and tax), Google (if you choose Continue with Google, and Google Analytics as described in section 6), and our hosting and email provider (to store account data and send sign-in emails).
- The Extension interacts only with Amazon’s public web pages to collect ASIN data.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data stored by the Extension.
- Request deletion of your data and uninstall the Extension.
- Opt out of future data collection by disabling or uninstalling the Extension.
- To request account deletion and removal of subscription-related data, email us at ••••••@asincrawler.com. Cancellation of a Stripe subscription does not automatically delete account data; users must request full data deletion separately.
9. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
